You might have noticed, I’ve been getting into all things crafty lately! It’s been great fun finding and following a vibrant community of inspirational creative people and businesses online.
One event that recently came to my attention was the Makegood Festival – a festival of culture, creativity and entreprenuership, which takes place between 30 May – 1 June in London.
The festival is organised by the School for Creative Start-Ups, which aims to inspire small business owners and entrepreneurs with a range of talks from successful creative businesspeople.
As well as featuring a marketplace of over 200 brand new creative businesses (spanning art, craft, design, fashion, food and communications sectors), there’s also a great line-up of speakers including Cath Kidston, and Innocent Drinks’ head of creative, Dan Germain.
I’m looking forward to meeting some of the creative people behind the companies such as Bric-a-Brac Cards and Lucy Alice Designs, and seeing how they’re turning their dreams into business realities.
It looks to be an inspiring event and showcase! Until Friday 16th May, you can get early bird tickets online for just £5, with prices going up to £10 on the door. Let me know if you’ll be there!
